Rosswald

The village of Rosswald is located on a mountain ridge at 1,800 m above sea level, in the middle of the Swiss alps . In winter Rosswald is a small skiing sports resort, in summer an marvelous region for hiking and biking.
Rosswald is a small, family tourist place which has a lot to offer to its guests. The view from the sun terrace on the Alps and the Rhone Valley is remarkable. A rich alpine flora can be discovered on the hikes. Tours such as the Salfisch Pass into the Binn Valley or the Simplon High Trail to Rothwald are special highlights. Bikers will find here a nice selection of tours, some of which have spectacular downhill passages. For example, from the Salfisch-Pass to Rosswald and on to Brig.
Hike from the Rosswald up to the artificial lake, which serves in winter for optimal artificial snowing of the ski slopes. When tired, you can  refresh your feet or enjoy the wonderful panorama. Afterwards, the six-hour hike continues along the Gantertal valley to the Bortelhütte. From here you finally reach Wasenalp, the highest larch forest in Europe.
